I wanted to create a poster that reflected the history of Georgia’s old-world charm and modern juxtaposition while also using a unique composition and delivered sufficient information to the reader without being overwhelming.
The asymmetrical border consisting of used Georgia letters helped to add a bit of intrigue to the composition without taking away from the main pieces that were centrally focused. I chose to use an elegant blue colour scheme rather than brighter colours to create more of a regal and classy feel to the poster. Being able to work in both colour and black and white helped to make this poster design successful and taking the chance to apply it to various application such as web (see below) was interesting to play with.
